Ngāi Tahu Pounamu Limited accepts Master Card, Visa, and Visa Debit. All information submitted to ngaitahupounamu.com is processed and stored using secure socket layer (SSL) software. SSL encrypts all your personal information so that it cannot be read as the information travels on the Internet.

Shipping Rates

All shipping rates are shown in New Zealand dollars (NZD). They include insurance, packaging & handling, and postage.

New Zealand

NZ Post (Tracked) 3-5 Working Days, $15+GST Flat Rate throughout New Zealand. 
Please note that all of our shipments have the "No Authority to Leave" status with CourierPost unless this has been requested by emailing us on authenticpounamu@ngaitahu.iwi.nz and quoting your order number.

International

All items are sent via International courier with DHL Express. We show live shipping rates at checkout. 

Important note for international orders:

You may be subject to import duties and taxes levied by your country or other overseas authority once a shipment reaches your country. We are not responsible for these costs and they are not included in the shipping cost.

You may also be required to pay additional charges for customs clearance. You should contact your local customs office for further information on applicable duties, taxes, restrictions and fees.

Dispatch

Orders are dispatched from Ngāi Tahu Pounamu Limited every Monday - Friday and the courier collection time is 12pm, any orders placed after that will be dispatched the following working day. Products are received if accepted by a person at your nominated delivery address. Insurance only covers the delivery of the item to this nominated address. Shipping details must include a street address and daytime telephone number. Your order cannot be dispatched if these details are missing.

Ngāi Tahu Pounamu Limited reserves the right to limit quantities and may discontinue accepting orders at any time.

Ngāi Tahu Pounamu Limited reserves the right to accept or reject orders in any combination of products(s), whatever it determines to be in its best interest.

New Zealand Delivery

Orders within New Zealand are 3-5 day delivery unless the purchase is made on a Friday. In this case the order will be delivered the next business day; the following Monday.

NZ Post is the default delivery company. All domestic orders are tracked and traced.

All orders placed within New Zealand, and or for delivery within New Zealand will include a Goods and Services Tax of 15%.

Signature Required

For all orders, a signature will be required upon receipt of the goods. This is mandatory in order for the parcels insurance. Because of this, it is always a good idea to get your order shipped to a work address where its likelier there is someone you know to sign for the order on your behalf.

* Orders will not be processed on Saturdays, Sundays or National public holidays. They will be processed and sent on the next business day.

Returns and Exchanges

At Ngāi Tahu Pounamu, we acknowledge that each taonga holds meaning and significance. We take care in the sourcing, making, and supply of our pounamu, and we stand by the quality of our mahi.

If your purchase is not right for you, please complete our Refund & Return Form within 5 working days of receiving your order.
Retail Sales Refund Form

Refunds are available on full-price items only. Taonga purchased as part of a sale or promotional release, including Clearance, Black Friday, and Christmas Sale ranges, are not eligible for refund. Original shipping and handling charges are not refundable.

Returned taonga must be received within 30 days of delivery and returned in full. We are unable to process partial refunds or exchanges; the entire order must be returned for a refund or exchange to be considered. Refunds will be processed once the taonga has been received and assessed by our team.

Ngāi Tahu Pounamu is not responsible for damage that occurs after delivery. If your taonga arrives damaged due to transit, this must be advised promptly through the Refund & Return Form so we can work with you toward a resolution.

For the safe return of your taonga, we recommend using tracked postage and ensuring your details are included so we can correctly identify your return. Ngāi Tahu Pounamu is not responsible for taonga lost in return transit.

Refunds are processed in New Zealand dollars. Ngāi Tahu Pounamu cannot accept responsibility for any bank or currency conversion fees charged by your financial institution.

Nothing in this policy limits or excludes your rights under the Consumer Guarantees Act 1993 (Aotearoa New Zealand). Where a taonga does not meet the guarantees set out under the Act, you are entitled to the appropriate remedy as provided by law.

All refunds will be credited in New Zealand dollars and Ngāi Tahu Pounamu Limited are not liable for any bank fees from your bank when processing your refund.
